GABBY'S APPLE CRISPY-CRUNCH

6-8 apples, peeled, cored and sliced (granny smith or johnnies work best)
1/2 C sugar
1/2 t nutmeg
1/2 t cinnamon
2 T fresh lemon juice
1 C flour
1 C brown sugar
1/2 C butter, softened
1/3 C chopped nuts

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.  Butter a small baking dish and set aside.  Place the sliced apples in a large bowl and add sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and lemon juice; mix until well blended.  Layer the apple mixture into the prepared dish.  Mix together the flour, brown sugar, butter and nuts and spread onto the apples.  Bake for 30 minutes.
