1 egg
2 T melted butter
1 C flour
2 t baking powder
1 T sugar
1/2 t salt
In a mixing bowl, lightly beat together milk and egg. Slowly whisk in melted butter. Into another mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add to milk mixture all at once and stir until dry ingredients are moistened. May need to add more milk for desired consistency. Cook as desired.
Whole Wheat Variation:
Follow above recipe but use 1/3 C whole wheat flour and 2/3 C flour in place of 1 C flour. Sweeten with molasses instead of sugar.
