FUDGE (heloise)

4 1/2 C sugar
1 large can evaporated milk
3 (6oz) pkgs chocolate chips
1 (10oz) pkg miniature marshmallows
1/2 C butter
1 t vanilla
2 C chopped nuts

Mix sugar and milk in a large heavy saucepan and slowly bring to a rolling boil.  Boil for 8 minutes.  Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, marshmallows and butter.  Mix only until the chips and marshmallows are melted.  Spread the mixture in a large, ungreased pan.  Let cool completely.
