SUPER PEACH PIE (margie withers)

cooked pie shell
5 large peaches
1 C sugar
3 T corn starch
1/2 C water
1/2 t almond extract
2 T butter
sweetened whipped cream for topping

Slice 3 peaches into pie shell. Mash 2 remaining peaches and place in medium saucepan. Add sugar, corn starch and water and bring to a boil. Add almond and butter until melted and pour over sliced peaches. Chill.
